ruddywashere: There’s a gay wedding in the horizon for the X-Man Northstar. The Marvel character has been out of the closet for a while now (he was the first openly gay superhero in comics) and is now set to wed his partner Kyle. This is pretty epic if you ask me. As someone that is gay and who has been reading X-Men comics on and off since I was 7, I have to tell you that it feels pretty good to be represented in the Marvel Universe. Even if it is a publicity stunt! On the other hand, I think that the writers (in this came Marjorie Liu) feel that this is a natural progression. After all, many of the X-Men do live in NYC where gay marriage is now legal. Congrats Northstar!
